# How to Update Your Password in askROI

> Update your askROI password from Security Settings and add two-step verification for extra account security. Step-by-step instructions inside.

Regularly changing your password is a key part of keeping your askROI account secure. This article walks you through updating your password and adding two-step verification.

## Updating Your Password in askROI and adding Two-step Verification

<Steps>
  <Step title="Click your Profile Icon (Settings)">
    Select **Settings** from the pop-up menu.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open Security Settings">
    Click **Security** → **Security Settings**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select the Security tab">
    In the **Security Settings** page Click the Security tab.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose Update Password">
    Click **Update Password**.<br /><br />You'll be asked to enter your current password and create a new one and confirm it.

    Make sure your new password is strong, unique, and secure.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save your changes">
    Click **Save** to save your new password. You'll receive confirmation that your password has been updated.
